As per Articles 344(1) and 351 of the Indian Constitution, the eighth schedule includes the recognition of the following 22 languages: Assamese. Bengali. Bodo. Dogri. Gujarati. Hindi. Kannada. Kashmiri.And Originally, there are 14 languages in the constitution. Rest are added by amendments. Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Oriya, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Hindi, Punjabi, Kashmiri, Assamese, Sanskrit, Nepali, Urdu, Sindhi, Konkani, Manipuri, Bodo, Dogri, Maithili, Santhali.
